There's not many with a story like ours…
For me, it's a childhood memory of the great iron beds at my grandparent's, with mattresses that seemed as tall as Everest. I wanted to pass on those happy memories to my children with the same quality craftsmanship that's built to last a lifetime.
Unfortunately, when I searched for something like those beds, handmade here in the UK, what arrived was upsettingly far away from what I imagined, and I was highly disappointed. And, so our story begins… Stephen and I started our company with a simple ethos: handmade iron beds built to last a lifetime, just like those I remembered and had always hoped to share.
Traditional designs directly inspire our handmade wrought iron beds and Victorian-style brass beds to capture that antique aesthetic and pay homage to the past. But we also hope to play a part in future generations' stories, so many of our bed frames delicately incorporate contemporary styles, colours, and materials.
As a result, whether you're hoping to slumber in the classic luxury of brass or the novel shimmer of nickel, we believe that there's something for every home in our bed range.
